Eiffel tower is the most well-known of all Paris monuments. It was built for the International Exhibition of Paris in 1889, commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. It offers a very good overview of Paris. 

• In the quarter of Eiffel tower, you may visit also the Champ de Mars (around Eiffel tower), the Monet Marmottan museum, the Bois de Boulogne and have a tremendous view of the Eiffel tower from the Trocadero.
