Medical recommandation and precaution :

• Medical Insurance : It is important to have a medical insurance before leaving and check your health insurance policy if it covers medical problems abroad. Most travel agents sell specialized health-and-accident insurance.
• France is a quite safe destination. There are no injections needed before leaving. Food is safe, and the water is potable. 
  

Medical treatment :

• The level of health care is quite good in France. You can see any doctor (most of them are english speaking) for having a prescription or go to the hospital if you get sick.
• In case of emergency, call the SAMU (medical emergencies) : phone call is 15, or fire departement (phone : 18)

Pharmacies :

They are denoted by a green neon cross. They do not sell anything else than drugs and beauty products.

Medical costs :

• EU citizens are entitled to French social security coverage. They must pay for care and are reimbursed with E111.

• Non EU citizens will have to pay and reimbursement may be obtained with their medical insurance if it covers medical problems abroad
